Honey Root Scrapbooks is a family business that provides scrapbooking services to help get photos off of phones and into books to be passed down through future generations. Our goal is to help preserve your family’s memories and traditions. But how did it start?
Honey Root Scrapbooks started with a theory in the car. Our family has been scrapbooking for 20+ years. And everyone who views their scrapbooks says “Wow, I wish I was this creative!” or “I love this but don’t want to do the work for it.” So while my mom and I were driving and just talking about scrapbooking, I throw out this thought. “We should offer scrapbooking services to those people who say things like that.”
The idea remained quiet. Until my mom went to work the next day. Ironically, someone asked her if she would re-do their wedding scrapbook after we had just talked about it in the car. My mom took it as a sign and quickly agreed to my crazy idea and offered to help her co-worker out.
Blossoming Our Name
One we decided, okay we’re really doing this, we thought hard for coming up with a unique name that truly meant something to us and what we do.
Our family traditions begin with Grandma Honey. The wisest member of our family.
And root comes from knowing where your roots come from, and the importance of sharing your family roots with future generations.
Scrapbooks are our main service and where we really want to help families preserve their memories.
And thus Honey Root Scrapbooks was born.
The First Custom Scrapbook
This wedding album officially became our first custom scrapbook. It was for Mom’s co-worker. She provided us all her wedding photographs and that’s it. We took her memories and let our creativity run.
The album took us about 2 weeks to complete her 36 sleeves for her album. When her pictures were returned to her she teared up, congratulating us on a fabulous job. She loved her new wedding album and decided to gift it to her husband for Christmas.
We absolutely adored working on such a valuable heirloom for her.
